ウッドデッキ製作記 準備編

GWに入ったらすぐに作業を開始するために、それ以前に設計と木材の発注をやっておかなければなりません。
GWにDIYをしようという人は多いらしく、木材販売業者のサイトにもGWは混みあうので早めの発注をお勧めしますと記載がありました。
さて、木材を発注するにしても、どのサイズが何本必要かがはっきりしないことには発注しようがありません。
ということでまずは設計します。

当初はCADでも使ってみようかといくつか触ってみましたが、習得するまでにGWになってしまいそうだったので諦めて手書きです。


何度も書き直した跡がありますね。様々な制約により作業中に変更を加えたので最終的にこんなことになりました。
とはいえ、ざっくり構造と最大長が分かれば必要な木材のサイズと本数を算出することができます。

木材の発注ですが、１社目は送料や発送方法について揉めたためキャンセルすることになってしまいます。
サイトの発注・発送のページに書いてない制限事項を後出しで連絡してくるのはやめろ！
曰く
・その地域は通常配送エリア外なのでチャーター料金がかかります。
　→ サイトの配送エリア図によると現住所は通常配送エリア内に含まれる
・２M以上の木材は２M以下にカットしてお送りします。
　→ その長さが必要なのにカットするとか意味わからん！
やり取りした結果、「サイトの記載が分かりにくい部分もあったので今回は通常料金でいいです」
とか言ってきたけど不信感を持ってしまったので丁重にお断りしました。安かったんですけどね。
２社目は若干高くなるけどやり取りも早くてこちらの要望を丁寧に聞いてくれたのでこちらにお世話になることにしました。GWの２週間前には木材が届きました。

今回使用する木材はイタウバというハードウッドで、未塗装でも１０年くらいは持つそうです。
ですが、塗装すればより耐久性が上がるのと見た目に統一感が出るため塗装します。
塗料にもいろいろな種類の製品があるんですね。
検討した結果、今回はオスモのウッドステインプロテクターを選択しました。
油性で、木材に染み込むタイプの塗料です。

２度塗りするとより耐久性があがるということで塗っては乾かしを繰り返します。

結構重労働ですね。握力がなくなりました。

塗り終わってしまえば雨にあたっても平気ですので、実際に使われるまで裏庭に放置です。
